Visual Art and Psychology
Natalie Symons is a dedicated educator with over 27 years of experience, specializing in Visual Arts and Psychology. She holds an Honours Degree in Education, with specializations in Art and Learner Support, from both the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of South Africa. Certified by the South African Council for Educators and the IBDP in Visual Arts and Psychology, Natalie has taught in South Africa, China and now Malaysia.
Her extensive experience includes teaching across various MYP grades, developing Visual Arts Core curricula, and contributing to provincial art moderations and National Grade 12 IEB marking in South Africa. Currently, she teaches DP Visual Arts and DP Psychology for Years 1 and 2.
A passionate and adaptable educator, Natalie excels in curriculum development, creative instruction, and educational leadership. She is committed to building meaningful relationships with students, mentoring colleagues, and supporting faculty development, while continuously enhancing educational programs.
