Nur Sofia Hany Zul Hadi

Sofia attended international schools for a majority of her K-12 education; in England, Malaysia, and the Czech Republic. Her positive experiences inspired her to pursue a career in international school education. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Nottingham Malaysia, she received her Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning from Taylor’s University. Sofia is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and holistic learning environment. She is currently the English as a Second Language teacher for grades 3-5 at SIS.

Tan Zhi Ching

Zhi Ching hold a Bachelor of Degree in Psychology and has 3 years teaching experience as a Mandarin teacher in pre-school settings. Currently she's pursuing Postgraduate Diploma in Education and working as an educational assistant in the elementary department.

Portia Karen Adams

Portia graduated from Cape Peninsula University in South Africa with a National Diploma in Office Management and Technology. She then completed a PGCE in Senior and Further Education and an Honours Bachelor in Education in Inclusive Education. She also has a certification in teaching professional reading instruction obtained from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. She has taught for over 10 years in South Africa teaching grades 1, 2 and 6 as a class teacher teaching various subjects before joining SIS in January 2024.

Eulise Teh Qiao Yee

Eulise Teh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Munster Technological University Ireland and has 2 years of teaching experience. She has taught preschool for one and the half year at Tots crèche Ireland , before transitioning to SIS. Her specialization lies in early childhood education and she is passionate about creating engaging and interactive learning environments tailored to the diverse needs of my students. She believes in fostering a growth mindset and encouraging students to embrace challenges as opportunities for learning.

Samante Sarah Wickramaratna

With over 11 years of experience in education, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bemidji State University, Minnesota, and a PGCEi from Nottingham University. Passionate about holistic development, she has spent her years in classroom either as a support or primary homeroom teacher. She has also been a Primary Math Specialist, focusing on Singapore Math methodologies and intervention strategies for 3 years. In addition, she has also guided students in AIMS and FOBISIA math competitions, fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love for learning in every child.

Jesicca Kuok Beng Lin

Jesicca Kuok is a passionate Arts Teacher with over five years of experience teaching both the IB and British Curriculum in various international schools across Malaysia. Holding a Diploma in Fine Arts and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, she specialised in Fine Arts, particularly Painting and Drawing, and is dedicated to fostering a student-centered learning environment that incorporates 21st-century learning approaches.

Shannon Brown

Hello! My name is Ms. Shannon and I am an Ontario certified teacher with over 24 years of elementary classroom teaching experience, primarily in Kindergarten to Grade 3. I have an Honours B.A. in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelor of Education from University of Western Ontario, and hold an Ontario Teacher's Certificate in the Primary/Junior division. I also have additional qualifications in Special Education and Kindergarten, and acquired TEFL Certificate from the University of Toronto.

Mohammed Ashfaq Asghar

Coming from Birmingham in the UK, Ashfaq holds a Bsc Honours in Human Psychology from Aston University in Birmingham, and he completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of Birmingham.

Ashfaq began his teaching career at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Castle Bromwich, UK after which he moved to Tokyo, Japan where he spent 11 years teaching English in Junior High schools.

Langley Anthony Geldenhuis

Langley Geldenhuis is a dedicated educator with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Nelson Mandela University (NMU). He is also currently pursuing a master's degree in advance teaching to further his expertise. With nine years of teaching experience across South Africa, South Korea, and Malaysia, Langley brings a global perspective to his classrooms.
