At Sunway International School (SIS), we believe that developing socially responsible citizens is as important as academic excellence. Community outreach plays a key role in our mission to nurture well-rounded students who engage meaningfully with the world around them.
Service and community involvement are deeply embedded in our curriculum. For High School (Grades 9-11) students, it is a requirement under the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), while students in the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) fulfil this through the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) component.
But SIS students don’t just meet expectations – they exceed them. Year after year, they contribute hundreds of hours to causes they care about, leading initiatives and working together to make a genuine impact. Through this, they build essential life skills such as leadership, empathy, communication, and decision-making – while shaping a better world for others.
