Marie-Josée Talbot-Provost holds a Bachelor (Hons) of Education with a major in French and a minor in Anthropology, Sociology, and Psychology from McGill University. She also has additional qualifications in special education. Prior to SIS, Mme Talbot has taught in a private high school in Québec, Canada. At SIS, she has taught Visual Arts, History, and French for the Canadian and the IB Programme.
Amelia Marie Gerard is a dedicated educator with almost 7 years of experience teaching Pre-Primary and Primary school students. She is also experienced in coordinating curriculum plans in various education sectors.
Amy Warr graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelors of Science, majoring in Physiotherapy. She completed her education degree at St. Thomas University, specialising in Physical Education, Mathematics and Elementary Methods. Before joining SIS in July 2023, Amy spent the last 10 years teaching Mathematics, Science and Physical Education in Nova Scotia to students of all ages.
Marina Rabelo holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Houston and State University of New York. This year will be her 15th year of teaching and previously, she has taught in the United States, Brazil and China. She believes every child brings something special to the classroom and it is her job as an educator to highlight their gifts. She believes a good relationship with students results in confident and successful learners.
Denise Forth holds a Master's Degree in Law and a PGCE from the UK. She is an experienced international teacher previously working in Hong Kong, China and the Middle East before settling down in Canada with her family.
Core Teacher (Grade 7)
Douglas Culbert earned his Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta, Canada specializing in second language acquisition. After 15 years of teaching in Qatar and 2 years teaching in China, he joins SIS in 2020 as a grade 7 homeroom teacher.
Priscilla Chia graduated from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) with a Bachelor (Hons) in Early Childhood Education. She has more than 3 years of teaching experience in Early Years and is currently an Educational Assistant in SIS.
