Natasha Tukiman

Educational Assistant

Natasha graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (Hons) from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She became a science and math educator at the primary level at a Cambridge International School around Johor, where she worked for over 3 years. She initially joined SISJ in 2022 and currently serves as the Education Assistant in Grade 1.

Reem El Ramly

Reem El Ramly holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. She has taught English and Psychology in Canada, Egypt and Oman. Her teaching philosophy centers on the idea that each student is unique, and it is her role to support them in reaching their full potential. She is excited to join us as the Library Teacher.

Aleeya Shahazman

Aleeya graduated from the University of Selangor with a Bachelor in Education (Hons) in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has taught in both international and national schools in Johor for a year each before joining SIS in May 2023.

Taesahn Solomon (Taesa)

Grade 2

Meet Taesa Solomon, an esteemed educator with over a decade of experience across China, Canada, and South Korea. With a Master's in International Education from George Washington University and a Master's in Early Childhood Education from the University of Denver Colorado, Taesa's pedagogical philosophy thrives on nurturing curiosity, empowering children's voices, cultivating social learning, promoting collaboration, and embracing the magic of emergent curriculum. Currently, she guides our Grade 2 students, shaping a transformative learning experience.

Jodi Armstrong

Grade 4

Jodi earned a four-year degree in education in South Africa, specializing in Early Childhood and Foundation Phase. With 13 years of experience, she has taught students between the ages of 3 and 10 years and is currently teaching Grade 4 at SISJ. She has been living in Malaysia for the past two years and is passionate about education. 

Nor Munajah Monir

Educational Assistant

Munajah Monir is from Johor Bahru. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Environmental Science from the National University of Malaysia. She joined Sunway International School Johor in March 2022 and initially worked closely with the Grade 1 homeroom teacher before transitioning to the Music and Drama Department. She is also actively involved in school programs with a sports theme, as well as various extracurricular activities.

Brendan Michael Portellas

Grade 4

Brendan Michael Portellas holds a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of South Africa. Currently completing his Master’s in Education, he brings extensive experience teaching Grade 4 and serving as a dedicated teacher advisor to the student council.
