Grade 7
Ryan Nash graduated from the University of South Africa with a Bachelor of Education. Mr. Nash has spent over a decade teaching mostly Mathematics and Science to grades 5-7 and has taught in a variety of school settings in South Africa, Vietnam, and for the last 6 years in Malaysia at SISJ. Mr. Nash currently teaches our grade 7 students Mathematics, Science, and Design.
Grade 8
Ashreena holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (TESL) with a minor in Art and Physical Education and has about 9 years of teaching experience in international schools. Currently teaching Grade 8 Language and Literature, Individuals and Societies, and Arts, they believe that “learning happens everywhere”. With experience across IB, IGCSE, and ESL programs, Ashreena is passionate about interdisciplinary learning and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree to further enhance her expertise.
Mandarin Grade 6 -10
Siti Aisyah graduated from the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS with a Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Geoscience and recently earned her Masters of Education in Mathematics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Prior to SIS, she has been teaching Singapore primary Mathematics curriculum. She has been in SIS since 2017 and is currently serving as the Mandarin teacher in both primary and MYP.
English Language Acquisition
Sumathi Panirselvam received her Bachelor in Education in TESL from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Perak, and has completed her Master in Education in TESL at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Prior to SIS, she had been teaching at a few international schools as a Malay language teacher and an English language teacher. She is currently teaching the MYP English Language Acquisition students from Grade 1 to Grade 5.

English Language Acquisition
Marien has over 13 years of experience teaching Drama across all educational levels, from kindergarten to primary and secondary students, in Argentina, the Virgin Islands, Panama, and Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts Drama and a Teaching Degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language. Marien also has a rich background in theatre performance, with specialised training in the Lecoq physical theatre technique. She joins SIS Iskandar Puteri as a Drama teacher for SK to Grade 8.
DP Physics & Mathematics Grade 9 & 10
Ms. Shafiqa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Astronomy with a minor in Mathematics from Drake University, USA. She also holds the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning (CICTL), equipping her with research-based strategies to support student growth and engagement in the classroom.
Mandarin Grade 4 / IBDP
Careen Ho has a Bachelor of Teaching from Malaysia Institute of Teacher Education. She has taught Mandarin for more than 5 years in both government and international schools in Malaysia. She is currently teaching Mandarin to students in MYP Year 1 to Year 5 as well as IBDP Mandarin ab initio.
