Anthonia Anna

With over 25 years of experience as a private piano and violin tutor and 15 years as the Head of Music in British international schools, Anothonia Anna is deeply passionate about nurturing a love for music in students of all ages. Her educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Computing, a Double Diploma in Music Recital Performance in piano and violin, and a Cambridge International Teaching Certification among many others.

Cara Wilson

Cara Wilson graduated from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts in French and Geography. She also completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Western Ontario. She has obtained additional qualifications for teaching French as a second language, English as a second language, kindergarten, special education, and geography.

Andrew Goodman

Dr. Andrew M. Goodman has been teaching for over twenty years. His initial career was in the Canadian Army, where he served ten years as an officer after graduating from Western University with a degree in economics. Since that time, Dr. Andy has completed a Master’s of Education and also a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. Andy taught in Texas for five years before moving to Korea where he spent a year teaching and serving as the coordinator at a language center. In the years since that time, Andy has taught in several international settings, including Kuwait, China, and Thailand.

Christo Styen

Christo Steyn spend the last 20 years working in various international educational settings in South Africa, Australia, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, China, Georgia, Hong Kong, and Russia. He has taught Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Physical Education, History and Career Guidance. Mr. Steyn has worked in the International Baccalaureate, IGCSE, A-Levels, South African, and Australian curriculum schools. He is a Times Higher Education Accredited Career Guidance Counsellor. Mr.

Don Kerfoot

Don Kerfoot holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Winnipeg. Mr Kerfoot joins us from the Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP) at Sunway College KL, where he taught International Business since 2021. Prior to joining Sunway, Mr. Kerfoot taught a range of courses at the high school level in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, as well as one-year of teaching middle years Social Studies at Lertlah School in Bangkok, Thailand. At SIS, Mr Kerfoot teaches IBDP Economics and Grade 11 Accounting.

Katherine Mclean

Katherine McLean graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Cultural Studies. She also completed a Bachelor of Education at Brock University, specializing in English and Indigenous Studies. Prior to joining the SIS team, Ms McLean taught middle school in Canada for 2 years with the Waterloo Region District School Board. At SIS, Ms McLean teaches high school English and Civics and Careers.  

Nathan Shier

Nathan Shier received his Bachelor (Hons) of Arts in History from King’s University College, Ontario and his Bachelor of Education from Western University, Ontario. He is qualified to teach Intermediate and Senior courses, and also has qualifications in Guidance & Career Education and Special Education. Mr Shier taught in the U.K. for 2 years before joining SIS in 2014 as a Grade 7 Core teacher. Mr Shier had become the Guidance Counsellor and Academic Coordinator throughout his tenure at SIS. He now teaches Social Studies to High School students.

Rebecca Pearce

Rebecca Pearce graduated from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand with a double degree - a B.Sc majoring in Genetics, Biochemistry and Microbiology and a B.A. in English Literature. Prior to teaching at SIS, she has taught in a range of schools in New Zealand over the last 30 years. She has previously held roles including the Teacher in Charge of Biology, the Assistant Principal and most recently, a Day Relief Teacher Coordinator.

Anna Jasudass

Anna Jasudass, a specialized Malay language teacher for primary school, brings over 20 years of enriching experience in education. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration, she is currently pursuing a master's degree specialized in Educational Psychology from Asia e University (AEU).  She has refined her expertise in teaching Malay Language and Science for primary-level students, honed through experience at esteemed institution. She specializes in creating engaging and interactive learning environments that foster curiosity and critical thinking among students.

Brian Vacheresse

With 17 years of diverse teaching and coaching experience, he leans towards the classical approach to education. His career spans 14 years in South Korea and 3 in the USA, where he has taught English, Physical Education, and various subjects in American public schools. He holds a Canadian master's degree and Texas teaching certification, which has equipped him to excel in fostering student growth and academic achievement. At SIS, he serves as the P.E. teacher and academic coach for dormitory students, blending his passion for physical fitness with academic support.
