Grade 1
Benjamin Vizec is originally from Melbourne, Australia. After completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Asian Studies and a Cambridge University Teaching Certificate he moved to live and work in Indonesia for a period of 15 years. Benjamin then completed a Diploma in Business Administration through Swinburne University Melbourne and a Montessori Diploma in Early Childhood Education. He taught grades 2-5 for a period of seven years prior to a move to SISJ.
Grade 3
Nina Bissolati graduated from the University of South Africa with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Development). Her teaching background includes teaching kindergarten and serving as a second language subject teacher for grades 1 to 3. Her journey began as a teacher intern, honing her skills for 3 years before stepping into her role as a qualified educator. She has most recently served as a grade 1 educator in South Africa and is currently teaching grade 3 at SISJ.
Mandarin Grade 5 - 10
Farah Lee graduated from the Institute of Teacher Education Malaysia with a Diploma in Education majoring in Chinese Language. Prior to SIS, she taught primary and secondary school students in Malaysia Government School and an International School in Johor. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience in Chinese Language. She is currently teaching Mandarin to students in grades 5 to 10 at SISJ.
Grade 2
Amanda Loh holds a Graduate Diploma of Education (Early Childhood) from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. She has previously worked in Australia for two years as a substitute and assistant teacher for different age groups including kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2. Ms. Amanda is currently the homeroom teacher for Grade 2.
Math
Anis Patel is an Ontario certified teacher and has earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from York University, Canada and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University, Canada. He is a IBDP Mathematics teacher and the MYP Mathematics Subject Lead at SIS Sunway Iskandar. He has been teaching for over 7 years in Canada, Kuwait, and Malaysia. He has been at SIS since January 2018.
Grade 5
Brandon Cary-Ramsay graduated from the University of South Africa with a Bachelor of Education Degree. He has spent the last 6 years at a South African all-boys school as a Subject teacher, Home-room teacher, and Sports coach. Mr. Cary-Ramsay currently teaches Elementary Grade 5 students at SIS.
Grade 6 Math, Science, Design
Ghayethry Batumanathan holds a Master's Degree of Science from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. She has been teaching for more than 8 years as a PYP Homeroom and MYP Mathematics teacher. In 2016, she received her IB Certification for Teaching and Learning. Ms. Ghayethry currently teaching Mathematics, Science and Design for Grade 6.
HPE Elementary
Nurul Jannah Rosli graduated with a Bachelor Degree (Hons) in Sport Science from Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah Alam. She has taught and coaching for 6 years in private schools in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor prior to joining SIS in 2020. She teaches Physical and Health Education for Kindergarten to Grade 5.
Educational Assistant
Kin Wee Pang graduated from the University of Mississippi, USA with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences and she obtained her Mandarin teaching certification at Beijing Language and Culture University as well as Preschool teacher certification with Ministry of Education Malaysia. Prior to SIS, she worked with International Kindergarten for more than 3 years and she has served SIS for 5 years in different grades. She is currently serving as a Teacher Assistance in Grade 2.
