INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION
AT ITS BEST

Sunway International Schools (SIS) are the established private international schools under
Sunway Education Group (SEG). SEG has over three decades of success in private and higher education in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Institutions under SEG are owned and governed by the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation (JCF) and SIS therefore commits to excellence, humility, service to school and community, and quality holistic education that develops creative, collaborative, and socially responsible global citizens.

SISKL

Sunway City Kuala Lumpur

SIS’s first campus started in 2008 as a secondary school in Sunway City Kuala Lumpur.

It offers two world-renowned school qualifications, i.e., Canada’s Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).  As Malaysia’s only licensed Ontario offshore school that also offers the IBDP, SIS Sunway City KL is highly sought after and expanding to a new campus in 2023.  The new campus will offer kindergarten, primary and secondary, and pre-university programmes.

SISJ

Sunway City Iskandar Puteri

Growing interest in SIS led to its second campus down south in Johor in 2017.

To cater to the demands of the integrated township in Johor, the second SIS campus opened its doors to the local and expatriate community. This K-12 school delivers the Canadian (Ontario) curriculum for kindergarten and primary grades, and International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) for secondary and pre-university levels.

This safeguards SIS in perpetuity as assets and operating surpluses are used to perpetuate the cause of providing and sustaining quality education for present and future generations.

Sustainable Education

Sustainable Education

SEG institutions support United Nation’s agenda for sustainable development. SIS’s educational programmes, policies, and practices are structured to include SDG tenets. The Ontario school curriculum defines scope and expectations for environmental education across kindergarten, grades 1-8, and grades 9-12 programmes. The International Baccalaureate (IB) emphasises environment and humanity across its programmes with strategies for sustainable teaching and learning. SIS’s new campus, to open in 2023, is Malaysia’s first GreenRE Platinum Certified School.

Two Campuses, One Promise

Two Campuses, One Promise

Both SIS campuses, in central and southern West Malaysia, are the only Canadian (Ontario) and IB World Schools in Malaysia and one of very few in Southeast Asia. Congruity in Canadian and IB curricula means students progress directly from grade 10 into the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). Both campuses follow SEG’s quality practices and commit to JCF’s ethos of giving back to society through quality education.
