SIS offers scholarships and bursaries that reward students' accomplishments and show our appreciation for the SIS Community and beyond.

SIS Scholarships
As a member of the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, and in keeping with the spirit of giving back to society through education, SIS believes in rewarding our students' academic accomplishment and extra-curricular excellence.
The SIS Academic, Music & Sports, and IBDP Entrance Scholarships are offered as an incentive to encourage our students to continue pursuing their passions; be it in sport, music, and dance, or striving for greater heights in academic standards.
Scholarship Terms & Conditions
The award of scholarship takes the form of a 25% waiver on tuition fees only. The scholarship is not a cash award.
Eligibility Criteria
Full-time Malaysian and International students who have completed their primary school education and applying for admission into Grade 7 for the January intake every year.
- Admissions into Grade 7
- Must fulfil the academic requirements as follows:
- Obtained six (6) As in the following subjects in Grade 6 (or equivalent) final school results:
- English (Comprehension and Writing), AND
- Mathematics, AND
- Science; AND
- three (3) other subjects
(only one (1) second language may be counted)
- Obtained six (6) As in the following subjects in Grade 6 (or equivalent) final school results:
- Open to both Malaysian and International student applicants
- All documents relevant to the scholarship must be endorsed by parents and/or relevant authorities

How To Apply
Applicants must complete the respective Scholarship Application Form and submit it along with the following documents to the SIS Admissions and Administration Office by the deadlines indicated below:
- Certified true copies of academic results:
- Latest/Current Year final schooling results and certification at the end of Grade 6 or equivalent
- Letter of recommendation from latest/current school's principal to verify student's good behavioural record, having not come under school-wide disciplinary action during his/her school years.
- Scholarship application closing date: 1st December for subsequent January intake.
Important Note:
Applicants may be required to attend an interview with the School Scholarship Committee. Application received after the closing date will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria
Full-time Malaysian students of Sunway International School, who have excelled at the regional and national levels in their respective extra-curricular category, are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
- Aged between 12 to 19 years old
- Must be enrolled and accepted as a full-time student at Sunway International School
- Open to Malaysian citizens only
- All documents relevant to the scholarship must be endorsed by parents and/or relevant authorities
Music Scholarship Eligibility
- Have obtained Grade 5 certification by an international examination board such as RockSchool, ABRM, Trinity, etc. or other qualifications deemed acceptable by the SIS Scholarship Committee.
- Must have a minimum of at least 2 years of experience in local and/or international exposure
Sports Scholarship Eligibility
- Must have represented district/state/national at local/international tournaments and competitions. Candidates must furnish supporting documents and/or reference materials from the state/national Sports Association/Federation to evidence their achievements.
- Sports affiliated with the Majlis Sukan Sekolah Malaysia (MSSM) or equivalent. Note: If an applicant's chosen sport is not part of MSSM, the discretion of the School Scholarship Committee applies
- Has won awards and was given recognition in a specific area of sports.

How To Apply
Applicants must complete the respective Scholarship Application Form and submit it along with the following documents to the SIS Admissions and Administration Office by the deadlines indicated below:
- CV (resume) indicating academic and extra-curricular activities including athletics, arts, or others.
- Music: Certificate or references to evidence the applicant’s musical exposure.
Sports: Sporting references to evidence the outstanding sports achievement
- Two letters of recommendation; one each from:
- Music instructor or Sports coach (corresponding with the type of scholarship applied)
- Former School Principal
- Personal essay including the following items (at least one page long):
- Why do I deserve this scholarship?
- What are my objectives as a musician/athlete?
- What are my plans after completing my education at Sunway International School?
- Scholarship application closing date: 1st December for subsequent January intake or 1st June for subsequent July intake.

The quantum of the scholarship varies depending on the student's academic results. The scholarship is not a cash award.
Eligibility Criteria
New admissions into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Sunway International School.
- Must be enrolled and accepted as a full-time student at Sunway International School
- Open to Malaysians and International citizens
- Must have a good record of discipline and conduct
- All documents relevant to the scholarship must be verified by relevant authorities

* SPM Grades - English 1119 will not be considered when granting the scholarship.
* The Scholarship quantum is only applicable to the Tuition Fee.

How To Apply

- Certified true copies of academic results
- A copy of Identity Card / Passport
- School Leaving Certificate or Testimonials
- Letter of recommendation from former school's principal to certify that this student has a good behaviour record, having not come under school-wide disciplinary action during his/her school years.
- Scholarship application closing date: 1st December for subsequent January intake.

Family Bursary
SIS Family Bursary is given to
- Child(ren) of alumna/alumnus, OR
- Siblings (subsequently enrolled children)
Child(ren) of alumna/alumnus will receive a 5% discount applicable on tuition fees only, provided:
- Parent/legal guardian has completed at least one academic year in Sunway University/Sunway College/Sunway International School(s)
Subsequently enrolled children (second child onwards) will receive a 5% discount applicable on tuition fees only, provided:
- An older sibling is currently studying in Sunway University/Sunway College/Sunway International School(s), OR
- An older sibling has completed at least one academic year in Sunway University/Sunway College/Sunway International School(s)
(For former/current students of Financial Courses, they are required to have registered for a minimum of 3 papers in a semester)
