Philosophy

As a school, our students come first. Being an industry leader in the education segment, we truly believe that imparting knowledge is not enough to survive let alone thrive in today’s world. 

We want to prepare our students for jobs that don’t exist today. Students are going out into a world that is tougher than ever before. We want to not only equip them with the skills they need but also the mental fortitude to withstand the challenges of tomorrow as well as the ability to connect with the local and global communities. 

But we know, education is beyond a student’s responsibility. It takes a village to raise a child, and to us, the SIS Community is at the centre of everything we do. Being a part of the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation means that we have the community at the forefront of our minds. We believe that if we take care of our students, parents, families and staff, the ripple effect will have an impact on the community beyond SIS.  

Learning is a journey, not a destination. And we have the stability of the Sunway brand and the resources that come with it to leverage. We have an extensive network of sister organisations that spans beyond education, and they all have the common goal of contributing to the communities around them and beyond. Values, visions and missions are our guiding principles and not just empty corporate promises.
