Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Erica earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Carleton University in English and Psychology. She then went to the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, where she earned both Bachelor and Master degrees, specializing in Sociology, Equity and Comparative International Development Studies in Education. She has worked at the Toronto District School Board for 20 years teaching English, Geography, Experiential Learning and Alternative Programs (including gifted/high achievers); she also taught English for 1 year in Spain. She joins the SIS IB programme this year.
