Rebecca Pearce
Rebecca Pearce graduated from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand with a double degree - a B.Sc majoring in Genetics, Biochemistry and Microbiology and a B.A. in English Literature. Prior to teaching at SIS, she has taught in a range of schools in New Zealand over the last 30 years. She has previously held roles including the Teacher in Charge of Biology, the Assistant Principal and most recently, a Day Relief Teacher Coordinator.
She is passionate about living sustainably, ocean acidification, biodiversification, insects and birds. Her teaching style is dynamic and responsive, encouraging the best from her students by embracing the teachable moment.
