Robyn Mary Hartley

Robyn Hartley is originally from South Africa. She completed a degree in Marketing and Media from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, followed by a postgraduate degree in Primary Teaching. Her career has been exciting and varied, allowing her to work in various non-teaching and teaching environments. This diverse experience has equipped her with different skills and perspectives, contributing to her growth as an educator. Teaching has taken Robyn to remarkable places, including the United Kingdom, Indonesia and South America.

For the past seven years, she has been teaching in Singapore. Robyn feels privileged to have lived and worked alongside students from diverse cultures. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her students, helping them feel comfortable and confident in being themselves. Robyn believes that authentic learning happens in an environment where students feel safe, respected, motivated, and challenged to progress on their learning journeys.

Some highlights from her personal life include fundraising for Headway, a charity in the UK focused on promoting awareness and understanding of brain injuries. In 2012, she ran 12 marathons in 12 months. Another memorable adventure for Robyn was walking in El Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage in Spain in 2013.
