Shaun Lazaroo

Shaun is an experienced and dedicated educator holding Bachelors Degree n Mechanical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London and a PGCE Secondary (QTS) specialising in Physics with Mathematics from King's College London. With seven years of teaching experience in diverse schools across London, Shaun has successfully taught Science from Key-Stage-3 to Key-Stage-4, as well as Physics at A-Level, combining subject expertise with a passion for inspiring student success.

In leadership roles as the Key-Stage-4 Science Progress Leader and STEM Co-ordinator, Shaun has played a key role in curriculum development, mentoring trainer teachers and championing STEM initiatives. Shaun has successfully completed the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) and, in addition to his experience as a qualifies examiner for GCSE and A-Level Physics, has gained valuable insights into assessment standards. He integrates these insights into his lessons to enhance teaching and learning. With a proven tract record of supporting diverse learners including those with SEN and EAL needs, Shaun is dedicated to consistently raising student achievement and promoting equitable academic progress for all students.

Shaun's teaching philosophy focuses on the holistic development of students, fostering not just academic excellence but also creativity, teamwork and curiosity. Beyond teaching, Shaun loves the thrill of ultimate frisbee, playing music, scuba diving and outdoor adventures-activities that capture his love for teamwork, discipline and exploring new experiences. These interests enrich his teaching approach, helping him connect with students and inspire them to reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
