Todd Bechtold is an internationally licensed English Language Teacher who joined the Sunway International School Kuala Lumpur community in January 2026. He brings over 15 years of experience teaching in international schools in Malaysia and Singapore, working with students from primary through secondary levels.

He specialises in English Immersion and Language Acquisition programmes, supporting multilingual learners in building confidence and academic proficiency in English. He has taught across both the American curriculum and the IB PYP and MYP frameworks, and particularly enjoys helping students access subjects such as Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics through purposeful language support. He holds a Master of Education in Teaching English Learners and is passionate about creating structured and supportive classroom environments where students feel encouraged to take risks and grow.

Outside of school, he enjoys rock climbing and watching movies, and values the balance these activities bring to his life. He looks forward to collaborating with colleagues and supporting SIS students as part of the school community.
