Malaysian Teens Scale Heights in Global Rankings

Exemplifying the words nurturing minds and building character, Sunway International Schools (SIS) students have made their mark on the world as top scorers of the recent November 2023 series of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) examination.

As a renowned institution dedicated to providing exceptional gold standard education with an unwavering commitment to excellence, SIS witnessed its students surpassing the world average of 29.06 marks for the recent examination sitting in November 2023 as demonstrated by the recent batch of IBDP graduates who achieved an astonishing feat of being placed in the top 3% globally.

Mr. Mark Milberg, IBDP coordinator at SIS Sunway City KL expressed his thoughts on the students’ commendable achievements, “Their outstanding success speak volumes about the undivided dedication of our educators in addition to the relentless perseverance of our students. Our programme focuses on holistic development, instilling values for success in a global context.”

With an almost-perfect score of 44 points out of a total of 45, Lim Rui Hao came out on top as the IBDP top scorer in the SIS Sunway City KL campus. This remarkable milestone places him in the top 3% of IBDP students worldwide. On the other hand, Nyew Win Chie and Krishna Gehlot both scored 43 points, securing them positions among the top 5% worldwide.

The main campus located in the heart of Sunway City – which also happens to be Malaysia’s first GreenRE Platinum Certified School – also enjoyed a 100% passing rate, bringing the average score to 35 points. 

Over at the SIS Sunway City Iskandar Puteri campus, Hilary Tan Wen Xi bagged the top scorer title with an impressive score of 42 points.
