Young Entrepreneurs Celebrate Hari Raya By Giving Back to Community
As the blessed month of Ramadhan came to an end, elementary students commemorated the festive season with a meaningful Hari Raya Market organised for a noble cause in the spirit of giving.
Painting a vibrant atmosphere, the market was buzzing with excitement as students, parents along with teachers browsed through a variety of handmade goods such as bracelets, bookmarks, keychains and decorative arts and crafts items that were lovingly made by the students themselves.
The handmade crafts proved to be a hit as total sales for the day amounted to over RM4,000, which were used to raise funds for children in need. Not only that, our compassionate students – some of whom were adorably adorned in various traditional outfits - also shared books and board games with the children to help promote literacy and learning.
The students’ efforts paid off as evident by the resounding success of the event and most notably, the significant amount of money raised thanks to the generosity and kindness of everyone who attended and supported the event.
Aside from that, teachers and parents played a major role in organising the event, from the early stages of planning to crafting and even managing the stalls.
Dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others, the students have successfully fostered a culture of giving and community involvement among peers by setting a shining example of how small actions can lead to significant positive change and the power of community.
